"Second time staying here, lower floor this time in Tower 1. The place really needs a renovation soon I hope. The headboard of the bed was damaged with torn surface, quite an ugly sight! (See second photo) Ants are seen on the table and walls. Housekeeping also needs improvement, only oral care set given, no vanity set & shower caps! Counter service for check-in and check-out were very efficient."

"Hotel is near ksl mall & just a short ride from JB CIQ. Staff are friendly & always ready to help to any enquiries. I wish they would provide 2 keycards instead of 1. Room is spacious & clean, we book the renovated room. The downside is that there is no iron & ironing board in the room. We need to call housekeeping for them to send those items to our room & it has to be returned back to them since its being shared around. Breakfast is decent enough for the amount we paid. Overall we'll return back to stay in the future."

"Thank you St Giles for a wonderful stay! It was our anniversary week and everything was perfect from efficient check in to the hospitality of the staff and amazing facilities Really loved the ambience of the Executive Lounge, it was so peaceful and ideal.We were pleasantly surprise when we came back to our room with a delicious cake waiting. Special mention to the security guards thats always opening doors for us. They are always smiling and greeting us!"

"The building is triangle in shape and all room door facing inwards of tri-angle with balcony able to see all floor all rooms in a glance, no floor privacy. Room design is very classic and basic, no bathrope no hand towels no pen paper. The house sliper is also lousy. Drop by to see the swimming pool but entrance are not easily visible to pool, no guard looking out in case of safety. I will not recommend unless you only need to overnight waiting to board Ferry."

"The hotel is just right in the middle of Johor sentral and very convenient with all necessary shops and restaurants nearby. Receptionist have provided a 24th floor room to me which I have much appreciated that with excellent scenery. The room and facilities are quite old but well maintained. Bed and pillow are clean and comfortable. Toilet and bathtub are also well maintained and no smelly issue. The next day morning breakfast is simple and good, nothing much to complaint. Overall staying experience is good and value for money, definitely will choose this hotel again if travel to Johor."

"The Management could improve better especially on cleanliness. Blanket & bedsheet got stain everywhere, blood & dirty stain. Curtain also very dirty (this should be taken in actions as the curtain is right beside the bed. Not hygienic). Toilet glass door also quite dirty looks like didn’t brush/ clean it for a long time. Other than that, is ok for us. Thank you for the good services by the polite receptionist. To the management of The Jazz Hotel, please take this review positively as your Hotel location & services is good."

"The hotel's location is excellent, situated conveniently near the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) checkpoint and several malls, offering easy access to a variety of dining options. However, the rooms are somewhat compact, and the breakfast buffet is fairly standard, lacking an eggs station. On a positive note, there's a lively pub adjacent to the hotel featuring good music, and Grab transportation is readily accessible.”"

"Our family booked this hotel was a last minute plan and lucky there’s a room that’s still available even though it’s far from the hotel that we want. 1) the room doesn’t provided with iron and iron board we have to call them and took them like few minutes to picked our call. They send them after 30 mins late and we are late for our dinner. 2) the iron wire, the tape the wire and plugs with a black tape to cover it. So when I used to iron my clothes, it’s not proper working and also I feel a lil electric shocks and not continue to use it. 3) my toddler has a sudden fever and we called up the receptionist to inform about we wanted an extra small towel and they acknowledge it. We called them at 2am and waited until 4am and we called them back again and they send us one shower towel instead. Mind you I was freaking worried about my child condition at that time of point. 4) weeks decided to extend one stay for few hours and I was told that late check out is until 6pm and there for will be rm 70 ringgits. Another last minute plan changed, we decided to extend our stay until the next day but was told by one of the staff that we needed to book via Agoda apps to extend our stay instead of explaining saying that they csn deduct half of yhe amount instead of paying rhe full amount instead. Already disappointed 5) the channels tv doesn’t have YouTube like normal ksl does. 6) don’t have any menus for us to order food for last mins hungry at night and wanted to order food my sick toddler but we used grab instead 7) the toilet böle been hearing annoying things like krik2. Overall we don’t mind about location but the satisfaction wasn’t there at all 8) system to check in need to wait 15 mins at staff told us the system is lagging. What a waste."

"My partner and I had a short pocket of free time and made an impromptu overnight trip to JB. A quick check on Trip.com and booked R&F Princess Cover (Sea View). The price was discounted and reasonable. Check-in/Out instructions were prompt, clear, and responsive. The check-in message was received via WhatsApp 1 day before checking in. We have no difficulties checking in/out. We were also give a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment, even though we dont actually need it, since there was only the 2 of us. So the apartment has 2 bedrooms with double beds each, and 2 bathrooms, a balcony (pool and sea view) with a washing machine (and 2 packets of washing powder). The bathroom came with shampoo, shower gel, disposable toothbrush and toothpaste, towels, etc. The kitchen was functional, and the fridge was decent in size and cold. The sofa, TV, dining table, and chairs were all well maintained. There were also 2 pairs of house slippers. The facilities on level 8 were impressive, outdoor & indoor gym, children playground, swimming pool, outdoor running track, yoga room, table tennis rooms etc. There is also a link bridge to R&F Mall (although not all shops were opened but we could get the minimum necessities), and also a link bridge to CIO JB Sentral Custom (about 650m). So, all in all, very convenient and pleasant and will choose to stay here again in the near future."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel more than 10 times, but this stay was by far the most disappointing one. The room was very dusty, both of us couldn’t sleep well as our noses kept itching every time we turned. Cleanliness really wasn’t up to standard this time. It’s also not our first time celebrating a birthday here, and while I understand requests are subject to availability, I did indicate in the booking that we were returning to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was quite disappointing to find the room completely plain without any gesture or effort. Considering the room rate wasn’t cheap this round, it’s a pity that the experience fell short. What keeps us coming back has always been the location — walking distance to City Square and Jalan Ah Fook — but I’m starting to wonder if I’m asking for too much as a regular guest."
